It's called SEEDLING and is very short. It's by Jessica Janna, a 70 year old. It's her first in a 7 book series. SEEDLING is about Jessica's youngest years. In between her colorful memories, she gives tidbit of info on how to navigate peacefully through the turbulence we sometimes encounter in life. LOVELY!!!! Can't wait for the second install!

I would hate to have to choose just one genre to read as part of a book club, so I wonder if there can be a club that rotates authors, books, genres with each book or quarter?

A great way to rotate is to choose a book club reading list entitled: "Prizewinners". It could not only include all the Pulitizer, Giller, Booker prize winners etc. but also those short-listed over the years and could include selected reading from Nobel Prize winners as well.

I'd like to participate in a group reading "House on the Bridge: Ten Turbulent Years with Diego Rivera" about Diego Rivera's first wife, Angeline Beloff, who met him in Bruges in 1909 after fleeing pre-revolutionary Russia. Rivera's beloved Mexico was on the verge of revolution about the same time--1910-- and Europe was close to WWI. Vivid depictions of Paris, Bruges, Oaxaca, Mexico City and southern Spain. See the review on Amazon by Luan Gaines, a top 100 reviewer.

My newly published literary classic, Voice of Conscience is in print. Although a work of fiction, my novel explores the human condition with all its trials and emotions. Some people turn to faith to handle their conflicts while others take matters into their own hands.
In the process of writing Voice of Conscience there were many times of intense emotions evoking creative expression, the need to know, the need to feel, the need to express. My hope is that my book will be considered among the great books of classic literature. I realize my book will not appeal to everyone, but those of independent mind who enjoy truly classic writing. My book explores every side of the human condition, anger, revenge, eroticism, self-pity, pain, sadness, but most of all delving into one's conscience and listening to the voices heard.

How about a genre of books made into movies. I got the idea because a friend of mine and I are going to read Into the Wild and then see the movie. "Which is better the book or the movie" always makes for a good discussion.

Hi,
A friend of mine wrote a book and has self-published. I know this is kind of suspect but I've read it and I loved it and I don't want it to die. It's called Did I Expect Angels? and it's great for a book group--I'm going to have my book group read it next month. It's selling on Amazon. Check out her website: kathrynmaughan dot com--full of cool stuff about the book. I really recommend it!

Excellent suggestion! Thanks! I've added it to the list.
(By the way this list consists of genres, authors, and books that members have suggested an interest in. I haven't taken the liberty of adding all genres because I want to first see the general interest of members.)
Thanks again!
