Hi everyone!

My name is Julia, and I'm a senior community moderator here at Book Lust with Nancy Pearl. I would like to invite you all to consider becoming book club facilitators and/or participants for the Book Lust Genre Book Clubs and Reading Groups, which are not yet active, but we will be starting very soon!

We've had some inquiries about forming a book club or reading group on the site. Considering that the site has been around for a year, a book club is long overdue. I've given it much thought, realizing that there are over 1200 members with varying genre interests. I wondered how we could all benefit from one book club, especially if some didn't like whatever reading genre was chosen.

Then the idea came to me: Why have only one book club? Why not have several for different genres, and then members can choose which genre(s) they want to participate in? However, I am one of those who isn't interested in all genres, so I know that I cannot lead several different groups.

Therefore, I am asking you all to consider becoming a volunteer facilitator for a particular genre. As a facilitator, you can lead the discussion for the rest of the group, maintain the particular genre book club page, basically lead the book club. I will be there to provide assistance for all the facilitators, as well as book club members.
