I just read "TWELVE STONES: Notes on a Miraculous Journey by BARBARA CAROLE." Newly published, this is a jewel of a book with a great story. A beautiful and earthy writer, Carole pursues an intellectual quest for truth, only to discover a world that needs love even more than truth.
I found the multicultural settings just fascinating and the story riveting. It was beautifully constructed and surprisingly poignant - a book I can't forget. I laughed, I cried, I couldn't stop turning the pages. "Twelve Stones" carried me to a spiritual realm I dared to visit for the first time. It was an exciting journey from cover to cover.

" I sure agree. I found this book difficult to put down. It read more like a novel than a memoir, and the pages flew through adventures in countries around the world. At the same time, Carole delved into thoughtful query and revealed powerful emotions as she describes a life that was transformed and set free. For me, it was compelling and bold, it was an honest and intimate search for the truth that opened up a new way to view a spiritual life. I think I'll read it again.
