For a book written by a budding new author it's great!! This novel effectively draws you in and holds your attention through all of the ups and downs of the investigation. The author's highly descriptive style, and realistically personalized characters gives the reader a true-to-life snippet of the time period surrounding this investigation. The final chapters wrap things up in a surprising yet satisfying manner. The only thing this author leaves you wanting for is the sequel. This novel really is a page turner and worth getting a copy.

Book reviewer Sarah Weinman blogs at "Confessions of an Idiosyncratic Mind; Crime fiction, and more" (www.sarahweinman.com). I especially like her "Weekend Update" which links to reviews in major U.S. and international newspaper Sunday editions.
