Let's not forget the work of Bill Bryson. "In a Sunburned Country" sticks out in my mind the most, of all his books.
Also, Robert Fulghum has quite a lot of funny things to say in all his books. "Uh Oh" was great along with the classic "Everything I Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" as well as "It Was on Fire When I Lay Down on It". 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
