I checked up on this man's story and he's not lying. He was a fugitive for exactly 22 years.

22 years on the run. He left family, friends and all. A must read book. I've read many books by best sellers, if this does not make a best seller, I will probably stop reading books. REMARKABLE BOOK!

Why have'nt this book made the bestseller list already. It surely is a good read, never a dull moment.

I also did some checking on his claim to be an ex police officer and a fugitive. He in fact was a cop from 1977-1980. The records also showed he was arrested and ran, and then gave himself up after 22 years. A good story.

I've been watching this string of comments grow over the last couple of days, and it's starting to smack of subversive marketing. If these are legitimate reviews, please sign in so the community can know who's posting the comments. Otherwise, it doesn't really mean anything, now does it? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Bookworm, have you read the book? I understand you're concern but if you read the book or read the e-book ( what i done) you'll like it also. I really hope you're not a bad cop or the relative of a bad cop ( I'm not staing this is the case.) Not trying to insult, only saying don't knock the reviewers unless you read it. This guy has put himself on the line! Check out his other professional reviews on www.readerviews.com and listen to his live interview on www.insidescooplive.com

I have to agree.

March 8: 5 comments within 10 minutes of one another.
March 9: 2 comments within 3 minutes of one another.
Monday, March 19: 3 comments within 30 minutes.

All have been anonymous.

It may be a good book, but 1) it's probably not the kind of book that people involved with Nancy Pearl's Book Lust will appreciate, and 2) this does smack of subversive marketing.

People, if you want you "reviews" to be credible, then register and comment on other areas of the site, other books.

You've got to be joking. Bookworm is not a cop, let alone a bad cop. This is a site for readers and writers. We're not cops.

Thanks TemlynWriting. You're right--I'm not a cop, by any stretch of the imagination! I am a book lover, however, and I want this site to remain a place where users can find credible and trusted information from their reading peers and authors both new and established. Rapid-fire anonymous comments that sound authored by a single source are not credible.
If the author of this book--or his agent, biggest fan, etc--wants to create a new page for the book and include actual reviews or links to reviews, that would fit much better within the framework of this site.
